Info About Raippaluoto Island
In the sea area outside the city of Vaasa (The Kvarken Archipelago) there are many islands and this area is the first UNESCO Natural Heritage site in Finland.
Raippaluoto is the main island in the Kvarken area which is the narrowest point of the Gulf of Bothnia.

- Raippaluoto together with Björkö has a total of over 2000 inhabitants.
- Raippaluoto is one of the largest islands in Finland, the size is about 150 square kilometres (58 sq mi).
- Raippaluoto bridge is Finland's longest bridge, it is 1 045 m long, it's down course height is 26 m and the width of the center hole is 250 m.
- A large part of the Raippaluoto archipelago has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
